A (late) Father's Day special:

Father's Day Of Shadows: Part One.

(Duke Starheart went to the top of the Hill of Memories, a landscape where ponies could climb and see the memories and members of their family who have died. of their past. He was hoping to see his recreation, but instead, he saw who he didn't want to see: His Father, King Sombra. He was there to, on a day that was supposed to be happy: Father's Day.)


King Sombra: *smiles* Well, well, well. Hello....SON....

Duke Starheart: *cringes when he hears that*

King Sombra: What is it? You dont want to wish your old man a....Happy Father's day?

Duke Starheart: Just GO AWAY!! It's not like I even care if you show up!

King Sombra: *bears his anger at his response* Now, now. I only came to visit You, for this special day. Not because it's Father's Day, but because I am planning something for ALL of Equestria.

Duke Starheart: *is angered* First of all, a villain never tells what he's planning. Second of all, Why me? Of all ponies, you would have me for a son! And then let him leave to be transformed while you were stuck in the bitter cold. Well I'm glad for this transformation.

King Sombra: .....*laughs*

Duke Starheart: ?

King Sombra: *goes beside him* I've watched over you since then, as I do now. *looks at him with his evil eyes* The time has come. The time for you to reign the world of Equestria with Shadows, and give no mercy to everyone. Not even your little princess! *shows him an image of Princess Fantasy Star*

Duke Starheart: *fell silent as he sees her*

King Sombra: Thats right. I know all about you and her. You both are such a loving couple.....it sickens me.....

Duke Starheart: *fear in his eyes as he sees what Sombra is showing him*

King Sombra: Love....such a disgusting beam of light and hope...*darkens his fear more*

Duke Starheart: No.......

King Sombra: When you show who you truly are, she and her family will fear you. Everypony will fear you. And it will be a day that shadows will overpower love. This will be a Father's Day of Shadows.

Duke Starheart: *looks down in fear, the signature aura returning to him*

King Sombra: So...Son....How about that for a Father's Day gift?

Duke Starheart: .........*changes mood from fearful.....To Obedient* Yes.....*Transforms into Omen, Prince of the Shadows*

King Sombra: *smiles* Thats my boy....
